Windsor Mondays Preview - 07/06/2021

Without a win in five starts to date, she’s ran on the all weather on all five starts yet looks seemingly bred for the turf.

She was a three lengths fourth of six at Lingfield last time out but the form from that race has worked out really well and carrying bottom weight here (she gets nearly a stone off top weight) then it would be no surprise to see her there or thereabouts.

A well bred Mehmas filly out of Epatha, she’s had two starts to date finishing fourth of eight on debut but then improving for that run when a close second at Nottingham towards the end of last month.

Both of those runs came over 5f on soft ground and with better ground forecasted here, that should be the defining factor in her making it third time lucky in a weak novice stakes.

A big fan of Windsor with five places coming from six runs at the course, she was second over 6f last Monday and probably should have won.

She did however stay on fairly one paced on that occasion and the drop down to 5f off the same mark should be enough to see her go one better this week in a good contest.

After a disappointing debut back in 2019, the Chris Wall trained charge had a 2020 to remember picking up three victories from her four outings.

She showed that wasn’t just a fluke when second over this C&D on her first start of the year in April but she then failed to back that up when switched to the all weather at Kempton in May.

A return to these conditions will undoubtedly suit and off a mark that still seemingly looks to be fairly generous, she’s likely to be in the mix.

She was off the bridle fairly early in the race that day so that shows that the step up to 1m 2f will suit and with entries into the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Irish Oaks, it’s clear connections hold her in high regard and she really could be anything.
