Like many sports stars, professional rugby league fullback Zak Hardaker has a passion for racing and with him being a TWE follower we decided to get in touch about his thoughts on this weekend’s feature race at Thurles.
Nine are set to go to post in the Grade 3 Pierce Molony Memorial Novice Chase, with many powerful Irish trainers such as: Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott, Henry de Bromhead, Joseph O’Brien & Jessica Harrington all attempting to land the €33,000 in prize money.
The two-time Challenge Cup and three-time Super League victor believes Jessica Harrington trains the winner with top-weight Sizing Pottsie.
This 6-y-o son of Kapgarde failed to match his lofty reputation over hurdles, but has made a great start to life over fences winning both completed races.
He has to give away 6lb to some of his main-rivals, but he is certainly on the upgrade and his recent 12l demolition of Cut The Mustard is the stand-out piece of form.
Take a look below for our opinion on every race at Thurles this afternoon.
Good Luck everyone & thanks to Zak for getting involved!
