The first selection of the day on Saturday comes in the Listed Novices' Hurdle and we can't look past the talented Nina The Terrier, who looks to have the measure of her market rivals.

The five year old was a fair horse in bumpers, winning her opener back in November 2020 and then knocking on the door in other events.

However, since the switch to obstacles she has looked a totally different horse landing a hat-trick of wins and even giving 3lb away on Saturday she looks to be the one to beat.

Having won nicely at Warwick in May on hurdles debut, she then went to Chepstow up in trip and was another facile winner of a fair event.

Last time out taking on Ahorsewithnoname and Elle Est Belle, giving away 8lb to the both of them, she sauntered clear in the final stages.

There is no reason why the others would reverse the form and she could be a very smart prospect for Alan King.

Trainer To Follow - Paul Nicholls

Paul Nicholls sends some serious ammunition to Newbury on Saturday with runners up and down the card and a lot of them are towards the top of their respective betting markets.

In the first race of the day he fields Rainyday Woman who is thought of highly and now needs to produce the goods over hurdles.

Other big chances for the Ditcheat yard include Flash Collonges in the Grade Novices' Chase, Kapcorse in the 2m6f Handicap Chase, Calva D'Auge in the Handicap Hurdle and Enrilo in the Ladbrokes Trophy.

Nicholls heads into the Ladbrokes Trophy meeting running at a 26% strike rate with 11 winners from 42 runners over the last two weeks.

Jockey To Follow - Tom Bellamy

Finally, the jockey to follow on Saturday from the Berkshire track is Tom Bellamy, who has some big chances to get into the winners enclosure.

In the opening race of the day he sits on the exciting Nina The Terrier that is looking for her fourth straight win against company she has beaten before.

Another big chance for the rider comes in the Handicap Chase over 2m6f where he rides Killer Clown, who runs off a nice weight.

Bellamy has been in nice form of late managing to land four winners from 24 runners which sees him pose a 17% strike rate for the last fortnight.
