Having gone through the current market for the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle, our latest ante-post selection for the Cheltenham festival comes in the way of Sundial for trainer Padriag Roche, with the youngster following a similar trend as last year's winner for the same yard.
A decent horse on the flat for Aidan O'Brien winning a decent Maiden on heavy ground on his final run for the yard, he was bought by JP McManus and given to Padraig Roche to be sent over hurdles.
This follows a very similar trend to last years winner Brazil who was a good horse with O'Brien before landing this race when switched to Roche.
Sundial has been seen on three occasions over timber, finishing sixth of 16 on debut in a 3-Y-O Hurdle, just over 13 lengths behind the talented Nusret.
Moved up in to Grade Three company at Fairyhouse he again found a few too good when finishing sixth again behind the highly talented Lossiemouth.
His final run looked another to set him up for handicaps later down the line finishing fifth of 11 at Leopardstown over Christmas in the Grade Two Juvenile Hurdle.
Not good enought to cut it at the top table in this division, he looks to be a work in progress type that has run to a fair level and will be gifted a fairly nice handicap mark off the back of his three runs to date.
He fits a very similar trend to last years winner for the same owner, connections and coming from the same yard on the flat.
At 40/1 with Unibet he looks a big price having been plotted for this race all season.
