The final race of the festival has always been a tricky one for punters with a big field going to post and horses all the way up to 33/1 having a chance but we believe we have found our winner for this seasons renewal.
Ilikedwayurthinkin is rumoured to be one of the Irish bankers of the week and they always say you save the best until last and we will be very much waiting for this six year old to go in the last race of the day.
The Gavin Cromwell trained gelding has been waited on a fair bit this season only racing three times but having decent breaks in between his runs.
He started his campaign off in August at Galway in a 19 runner Handicap Hurdle and he won very easily to set up a promising season.
He then raced again in December after having a short break in another handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse and he finished a midfield ninth looking like he may have needed the run.
Over Christmas at Leopardstown he went into his usual contest this time with 25 runners and he finished a very smart fifth that will be pleasing for connections.
With races like this you don't want horses winning before the festival as it is all about keeping your handicap mark down and that is what Ilikedwayurthinkin has done ahead of this contest.
He is well handicapped and looks to have a huge chance if running near his best and at 6/1 having been backed from a double figure price already, he has to have a big chance.
