Supreme Novices Hurdle

The Cheltenham Festival kicks off with the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, The Grade One novice event can get you off to the perfect start to the four days of the Festivla. We've gone through all the runners to try and help you find the winner.

Asian Master

Tom Costello takes the ride on Asian Master for trainer Willie Mullins. The seven-year-old will be one of the outsiders in this field despite having won on each of his two starts over hurdles.

Favour And Fortune

Alan King’s runner in the opening race of the Festival is Favour And Fortune. Tom Cannon takes the ride on the outsider.

Firefox

Firefox represents the Gordon Elliott yard in the Supreme. He was last seen finishing fourth of seven over two miles and four.

Gold Dancer

Danny Mullins takes the ride on Gold Dancer for Willie Mullins on Tuesday. He was last seen finishing 35 lengths behind Ballyburn when seventh at the Dublin Racing Festival. That leaves him with plenty to find on a number of re-appearing rivals.

Jeriko Du Reponet

Jeriko Du Reponet is the runner from the Nicky Henderson yard on Tuesday. The five-year-old has plenty to find on ratings, but he comes into the Festival after winning on each of his three starts over hurdles this season.

Kings Hill

Jack Gilligan takes the ride on Kings Hill for trainer Paul Gilligan on Tuesday. The five-year-old was an impressive winner on his previous start, beating Crooked Tannie by over three lengths over an extended mile and seven.

Mistergif

Mistergif will be the ride of Daryl Jacob in the Supreme. The Willie Mullins runner has won once from three starts over hurdles, but he was very impressive when getting off the mark on heavy ground at Limerick in late January.

Mystical Power

Mark Walsh takes the ride on Mystical Power for trainer Willie Mullins on Tuesday. He was a very impressive winner in a small field over an extended two miles on January, beating Jigoro by seven lengths.

Slade Steel

Slade Steel is the runner from the Henry De Bromhead yard in the Supreme, with Rachael Blackmore taking the ride. He was last seen finishing second to Ballyburn at the Dubin Racing Festival, but he had won on both previous starts over two miles.

Supersundae

Patrick Mullins will take the ride on Supersundae for trainer Willie Mullins in the Supreme.

Tellherthename

Ben Pauling’s runner in the Supreme this year is Tellherthename, with Kielan Woods taking the ride. The five-year-old could have a lively outside chance at Cheltenham after winning impressively by 14 lengths on his previous start at Huntingdon.

Tullyhill

Paul Townend has opted to ride Tullyhill for trainer Willie Mullins in the Supreme. The six-year-old has won on each of his previous two starts, speeding away from the field impressively to land success by nine lengths from No Flies On Him at Punchestown in February.
