One lucky punter landed the Scoop6 jackpot of £987,543 from a £50 stake on Saturday, allowing last week's three winning ticket holders to team up and claim the £1,030,922 bonus fee.
The trio worked together when selecting Paisley Park, Black Op and Aux Ptits Soins in the Cleeve Hurdle, whereby the Emma Lavelle-trained 7yo sauntered to a clear twelve length success, in turn landing him the favouritism tag for the Stayers Hurdle back at Cheltenham in March.
Lavelle is very quickly becoming a fan favourite amongst punters - in particular with the three winning ticket holders, as it was she who trained Closing Ceremony to a narrow victory in last week's final leg at Haydock.
That win earned £643,903 to each winner from a humongous Scoop6 payout, before they collected an additional £343,640 each a week later.
The Racing Post quoted the anonymous punter, who was bidding to team up with last week’s other winners, and their collective wish was granted sharing the bonus pot.
(Credit: Racing Post) He said: "It’s unbelievable – I'm buzzing at the moment.
"Although I had a moment’s worry when they turned into the home straight, it was clear the favourite had it in the bag provided he didn't come down at the last.
"It was certainly a much easier finish to watch than last week," he finished.
There were another three Scoop6 winners this weekend with each ticket holder scooping £123,106 after Benny’s Bridge won the final leg in the Steel Plate and Sections Handicap Hurdle for Fergal O'Brien and Paddy Brennan.
Paisley Park’s success saw sixteen punters enter the final race in with a chance, with the three winners earning a shot at the bonus next Saturday which stands at £35,550.
