Ali Star Bert is the runner from the Shaun Harris yard in the opener at Southwell today.

The nine-year-old has a fine record at the track, and was last seen finishing a close third behind Finn Lough over an extended three miles at Southwell at the start of the month.

Finished well on that effort, and his record over three miles at the track deserves huge respect today. Jack Quinlan is booked to take the ride.

Immortal Flame could hold strong claims to secure a hat-trick at Southwell today.

The nine-year-old has won on his last two efforts over an extended two miles and four, with the latest of those coming at Uttoxeter at the end of January.

Has gone up 6lb at the weights, but that could be managable. Cameron Iles retains the ride for trainer Deborah Cole.

Jackpot Cash holds interesting claims for the in-form James Owen yard today.

Alex Chadwick is booked to take the ride on the six-year-old, who is yet to win over hurdles. Returns over the smaller obstacles yesterday after finishing fourth of five over fences at Leicester late last year.

Demands respect on his stable debut, and could be hard to oppose if at his very best.

Asa is the runner from the Philip Kirby yard in the 16:15 at Southwell today.

The six-year-old has leading claims based on her recent chase efforts after winning twice on her last three starts. Reverts back to hurdles today, but that shouldn't be an issue after winning once from 17 starts over the smaller obstacles.

Joe Williamson is booked to take the ride on the in-form mare.
